What kids learn
Younger children begin with block-based coding, where commands snap together like puzzle pieces. This teaches sequencing, loops, events, and decisions without the frustration of typing syntax.
Once those ideas are solid, kids move to text-based code. They write Python, build simple websites with HTML and CSS, create Android apps in MIT App Inventor, and program hardware such as the Micro:bit.
- Interactive stories, animated games, and logic puzzles
- Python scripts and first web pages
- Mobile apps they can run on a real phone
- Computational thinking that carries into math and science
